After years of research by investing resources and efforts, we have shown that changing irrigation techniques in maize production is improved, the quality and especially in the electricity bill. Regaber now and not only affirmed, but the team of Ruiz Padin, Couto Yanez, Reinoso Sánchez, Barrios Verdejo, University of León(Department of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences). They conducted an investigation in which comparing sprinkler and drip irrigation concluded that:
- The values obtained by drip irrigation were higher than the best recorded in the production trials conducted in sprinkler and surface irrigation
- The yields obtained in drip irrigation were higher than those obtained in spray, with a significance level of P> F of 5.8 and 7.6%. In the two varieties tested.
- Compared to sprinkler irrigation, are obtained significant improvements in application efficiency due to the much greater uniformity of irrigation.
- Energy consumption is reduced to 40% of that needed for the sprinkler.
Thus, we continue our work to provide farmers with the necessary tools to become more efficient and work together to develop products that best suit the needs of the field. YES to this research we add the possibility of using Efitech systems capable to work only 0.25 atm instead of 1.1 atm. Can you imagine how far can we go?
