The last July of this year, Facebook announced its new strategic alliance with Skype, with the intention of offering a service similar to that was already promoting Google Plus in its new platform: video calls from the Facebook chat.
Facebook now returns to the fray, now announcing the second part of this alliance. Facebook users can connect your Skype account so they can be make calls from Skype contacts from the network. That is, a contact from Facebook to another using the Skype platform.
This new service is available to update Skype version you have on your computer: Skype 5.4 Beta for Mac and Skype 5.7 Beta for Windows.
Now asks is how is made? If you’ve used the service of video calls on Facebook, because you are connected to both accounts, but you must download the version of Skype that you serve and configure both accounts.
To start a conversation must follow three simple steps:
• Connect your Facebook account from Skype.
• Choose the friend with whom you converse in the list of contacts from Facebook Skype, and press the video call.
• Your friend will be notified immediately upon entry of the call and decide whether to accept.
Something important that should be noted is that Skype has made significant changes for both Mac and Windows. An example of this is the improvement in the quality of the video for Mac and added a new window for talks in group for Windows, very similar to the one that has Mac.
